From our Pastors
Dear Friends,
Listening to God, praying for one another and praising our God is at the heart of our faith foundation as adults, as families, as 'just church'.
During the Call interviews, the possibility of having only three worship opportunities was discussed. As you know, a "Task Force" was formed to study the feasibility of going from four to three worship services and to offer time for fellowship (coffee & tea) and adult education forums. Our Council recommends that starting this Fall (weekend of September 9th) we will have four worship services; 7 pm Saturday and 8, 9:15 and l1 am on Sunday. There will be opportunities for different age groups to take advantage, not only to worship, but also participate in educational activities. We have layered the timetable to provide something for the mind, something for the soul and something for the body! How is this possible? We call it "Full Service-Service!" It is not Starbucks but it comes close because you or your family can pick the time and the event that fits your spiritual need and timetable. There is a menu from which to participate located on the Services Page of this website. Layering different activities permits parents and teachers to attend worship, choir and education in a manner that best suits them.
We are sure that you will agree that the Saturday/Sunday worship for Bethlehem is the Center of our week as a family of faith. This has been a deeply rooted tradition not only here at Bethlehem, but in every Christian community. We invite you and we encourage you to take part in the “Full Service-Service” the activities that feed your soul and strengthens your relationship with God.
We look forward to Praying and Praising God with you!
With Joy in being your Pastors,
Jim & Jean
