Message from our Pastor

Dear Family of Bethlehem

As we go walking, we've been sitting on a lot of rock piles lately. It is interesting because as we look and reflect upon each rock, they are rough and grey. They are worn and each has its own unique shape. Each rock has traveled many journeys to get where it is today. And each journey has helped to give shape and character to each rock.

We as individuals and a church are not much different. We are all in the rough that is in a state of sin, frail and clumsy with sin. And God in his tender mercies journeys with us through all of life. Along the way we are sanded and shaped. We are embraced or tossed about by the elements of nature. We are molded and polished. Each journey in life brings out gifts God has given to us. Each journey tries us and tests us, and builds in us a deeper more pronounced character. Along the way each of us have sung out songs, we have explored our world; we have painted the colors of God's rainbow in our own way. We have been individuals uniquely created to share God's grace in a fundamentally unique way.

We don't know what the future holds for us as a family, just as you are unsure of what the future holds for you. But we do know that Jesus will never let us go. We have his promise of presence and a peace that surpasses all understanding. And, we know that it is our calling to hold each other up in prayer. Know that you are in our daily prayers.
