Message from our Pastor
Dear Family of Bethlehem
The play Fiddler on the Roof featured a song that resonates with us this beautiful fall day. “Sunrise Sunset, Quickly Go the Years”. We look back and give thanks for the wonderful ministry that all of Bethlehem has accomplished. The confirmation retreat that was held on October 19 & 20th, was powerful as we witnessed the Confirmands connecting faith and life, as we dialogued those deep questions about God and how God fits into each ones life in a special way. It was moments of awe as each in their own way could say, God created me to share faith this way and that’s okay. We witnessed these children growing in their relationships with Jesus, their personal Savior. In Bible Songs children lift up in prayer their church, their world, their family and friends and you can see the love of God rising and setting in their life. The love and spirit of Jesus has not failed this church, this community nor the wider church but quite the contrary: Christ is being invited into heart after heart, and doors of faith are being opened as the stories of Jesus are shared, read and prayed. Our firm belief in Jesus’ love has not diminished. Our fervent prayer is that we all can walk united and one in the spirit to share and to live the love of God. We live in a Good Friday World but we are Easter People!
Peace and Blessing to you,
Pastors Jim and Jean
