Why study Scripture or read the Bible?
Jesus, himself, quoted Scripture when he responded to Satan “It is written, ‘one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Mt 4:4
And in Romans 12, Paul speaks “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God-what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
For my nourishment, I need the word of God; for renewal of my mind, I need to KNOW the word of God; to be transformed, to be able to iscern God’s will...I NEED TO KNOW THE WORD OF GOD, don’t you?
