Volunteer and Ministry Opportunities
Evening Bible studies - Scheduled through out the year
Mid-week Bible study - Led by staff during most of the year; various topics, books covered
WELCA - Four different 'circles' meet once a month at various times and days. purpose: study, personal growth, fellowship and service. Monthly board meetings and quarterly special events.
Retirees Group (men) - Meet every Tuesday morning, year 'round, to maintain building and grounds. This group has saved the church an immense amount of money, pooling their wisdom, talents, and manpower to keep the church in excellent physical shape. They welcome new members, even on an occasional basis. Coffee time is a benefit, along with friendships formed.
Sewing Groups - Women meet every Tuesday morning (except July and August). One group (LWR) utilizes donated sheets and materials to make quilts for disaster areas. Another group (LSSM works on making incontinent pads for adult assisted living homes.
Sew-Pieceful quilting group meets throughout the year, designs pillows for BLC graduates, baptismal quilts and other projects
Novel Discussion Group - Read and discuss current best-sellers.
Lectors - Read lessons at worship (Lessons are mailed out early during the week, complete with pronunciation help.)
Assisting Ministers - Assist the Pastor during worship. (pastors offer a short mining session prior to beginning this ministry)
Hospitality Teams - Assist in greeting and ushering. All members are encouraged to help in this ministry.
Altar Guild - Set up for Communion, about once every five weeks, fill candles, clean up after. Detailed instructions available, training.
Parish Choir, Handbell Choir, Soloists, Instrumentalists - The worship is enhanced with music. Share your vocal or instrumental talents!
Sunday School teachers, Confirmation guides, Vacation Bible School volunteers - Volunteers are needed in all areas. Whether or not you have youngsters involved in these programs, adult mentors and volunteers are always needed. Consider sharing your faith and experience.
Bulletin Assembly - Volunteers meet once every six weeks on Friday to collate and staple the bulletins and prepare the sanctuary for worship.

Opportunities for Youth and Children
Sunday School - Two year old children through 8th grade are invited to attend Sunday School during the 9:15 worship during the school year.
Vacation Bible School - Bible stories and lessons, crafts, music, games and food. Three year olds to 6th grades invited to participate in week long event held early August. Teens encouraged to help.
Senior High Youth Group - Students in 9th to 12th grades participate in events that foster spiritual growth, fellowship, community and service.
