Youth Committee
Committee function
This committee shall oversee the total youth ministry of the congregation. The committee’s responsibility is to identify the youth of the church and the youth of the community to whom the church shall be ministering. In addition, the committee shall initiate and structure programs and ministries of service and integrate the youth into the total life of the congregation. The committee shall consist of no less than six (6) youth and two (2) adults. Two youth must be of the junior high school age, and two must be of the senior high school age. Youth membership represents the youth organizations of the church and be elected by these organizations. At least one adult shall be a parent representative of a youth organization. A further task of the committee, with the approval of the Congregation Council, is to establish policy for youth ministry, to review and provide resources, maintain liaison with the Synod, and ELCA in offices that pertain to youth.
