“Handing our worries over to God”
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
While on vacation to the Upper Peninsula recently, there was a lot of down time to reflect on the beauty around me and it really spoke to my heart. We all have something that gives us anxiety or stress. We can allow this to weigh heavily on us or we can look to the Lord for guidance and he will make our paths known to us. These two verses were perfect for what I was thinking while out in the water and also while viewing the beauty of the waterfalls. I am learning to let go of my anxieties and to try to remember that if I give those worries over to God it will give me that relief and the pressure will no longer be on my heart, soul or shoulders. When looking at the same river in both pictures it reminds me that water follows the plan set out for it and that it may look one way in the morning but completely different in the afternoon and we just need to learn to accept things the way they are. We do not know the paths that are before us but God does and we have to give our worries and cares over to Him because He knows the plan.
